I have been the mechanic. The commission driven service advisor. Also the service director that was threatened daily by the owner to increase profits or find a new job.
Do I sound a little bitter? It's true I am, unfortunately I worked for some crooked shops in my day. I have been a mechanic since I was 16 years old. I was an ASE certified master automotive technician by age 20. I received my Master heavy truck technician certification at 24 years of age. And I currently hold a total of 15 ASE certifications.
